Tour

The new apartment is wonderful. We have been here for less than 2 weeks and we have already cooked a ton: chicken casserole, enchiladas, spaghetti with sauce from scratch, peanut butter cookies w/ chocolate chips, Bruchetta, corn on the cob, artichokes, pizza from scratch, home made bread, sub style sandwiches...and ice cream! The kitchen is obviously wonderful and large enough for the both of us to cook at the same time.
This is a little opening by the sink that looks into the living room

I took this picture with the pantry opened so you could see how big it actually is for an apartment

We have already had my dad over for dinner, Spencer's Parents, and his little brother over twice! I thought that was rather impressive. The truth is I like having people over and now we can with more space!

we now have 2 couches ( thank you Jamie) which are really nice and extreamly comfortable ( I have already taken 3 naps on them). We also purchased a new plasma 50'' TV that is beautiful. It looks so good when we watch out blu-ray's on it! We had been talking about getting it and we BOTH broke down and got it! :) Fine by me!

this is the boring part of my tour. ...the hallway and my Sammy kitty

bathroom. Sorry our towels aren't properly folded

Alright so this room is our office room/ craft room. It is right now the disaster room but I thought I would post it on here anyway and now be ashamed. We just moved in and we sill need to figure this room out. But currently it is  a little cleaner. This table on the left is where I do my scrapbooking!

bedroom! But what you dont see is all of the empty space on the left of the bed. Ha ha. And there will be a mirror attached to that dresser when my wonderful husband gets around to it.

And this is our spacious closet that can hold our clothes and storage all at the same while still being spacious! I Love this closet!

Well I hope you enjoyed the tour. We will eventually have things on the wall but give me some time. It is a little stressful making your place CUTE.

RIP Crystal Falls

Today is our last day at our first apartment. We have been here for 8 months and it has been an adventure. We have had some interesting things happen here and let me just say we are ready to leave. The cops are in the complex almost every night! our car has been broken into 2 times with some stuff stolen. We got our car towed. we actually got pulled over by a cop 2 days ago while in the complex because he thought our car was a stolen car! When i went to work this morning 10 garages were taged! I've seen a crime scene truck here. Our neighbor found a dead woman on a bench a while ago. When I came home late from work one night I saw someone in the back of their car.....let's just say it was WEIRD! There are gang bangers and all kinds of crazy people around here. Not to mention all of the frogs near our apartment that i am deathly afraid of.
Inside has not been all that bad but the space has been very very cramped over time and we need more space. We like having  people over but it's hard when 3 people= crowded!

Good bye apartment, I'm not really going to miss you. It's been fun, but...we're through!!!

Movin on up..

Spencer and I were finally able to see our new apartment today and we are moving in 8 days!!! W are so excited. When we signed the papers for our new place the actual apartment still had tenets so we had to wait for them to leave.  There are a  few things that are different from what the model apartment had, but we LOVE it. It has much more livable space and storage space. There is a pantry and a new stove and sink! Here are some picture of the new place.

Family visits and summer fun

This weekend was so much fun because my wonderful family came to visit for father's day and my dad's birthday.  Alex, Kate, Hamiltin, and Beckett ( all sadly not pictured because I later forgot my camera) came down from LA and Adam and Karen from Utah. All but one of my siblings were in town! It was a lot of fun.
Karen had her baby shower, which was a lot of fun. We played this game where different chocolate candies were melted inside diapers and we had to guess what kind they were. haha. It was a funny game. Later that night we played games with the family!

On Sunday I ended up interpreting for sacrament meeting which was a surprise to me, and one deaf lady was scheduled to speak so I got to voice for her while she signed. It was HARD, and by some miracle I was able to voice for her. I was really nervous, but glad I was able to help!

Today ( Monday) Spencer went to the Island waterpark! It was a lot of fun. There were not a lot of people there which made it nice! We got summer passes so we plan on going a lot.

I love summer!!!!

Cricut Craze

On Monday I got a Pro Craft Cricut cutter because my husband is so wonderful. This machine is so fun to use. It is an electronic paper cutter that cuts perfect letters pictures or shapes for card making or scrapbooking. For the past two nights I have been working on my engagements scrapbook and it really turning out cute, especially with my new Cricut.
Those are a few of my pages. sorry about the glare.

What HE has turned me into..

Spencer loves his PS3 and anything tech'y like computers ( not apple) and phones etc. He talks about these things with me often because we are married and that's just what you do, talk about your interests. Lately He has been obsessed with cell phones because we are looking to get a whole new cell phone plan in a few months and he has been researching phones. He particularly likes one from Sprint which was just released today ( almost sick how I know this...weird) and he has been talking to me about this phone for maybe over a month.

I feel like I am quite the expert now ( not that i know what any of it means, I just know Spencer says its a way cool phone). I find myself in these random conversations where all of the sudden I say, " Have you guys seen the new HTC evo phone from Sprint..." who has he turned me into? Let me just show you how much I know about this phone.

- it has 2 cameras( one on the front for video conferencing and one on the back- 8 mpxl)
- the newest android operating system
- tons of apps ( similar to iphone)
- HDMI output
- huge touch screen ( larger than iphone)
- expandable memory
- a kick stand on the back
- comes with google maps for navigation
- also acts as a router
- 4G capabilities ( which means really fast when we get 4G, but it will also get 3G)
........and I think thats all I got. phheewwwww!
This is just strange to me because none of this stuff mattered to me and now I'm the one bring it up in conversations.

SO, now I am excited to check out this phone and see if it really is cooler than the iphone since those are the 2 we will be deciding between when we get new phones. Thanks Spencer for turning me into you! geez

Change

We will be moving in 4 weeks and I am so excited! We will be moving to a nicer area and a larger apartment. It is amazing how much STUFF you can accumulate after only 7 months of marriage! I am not excited about about all of packing and cleaning, but it will be worth it in the end.
Life has been really busy in the Relitz home. It is almost summer vacation and I can;t wait to finally sleep in! We don't have any fancy trips planned but sleeping in would be my comparison to a little vacation. Although I will be working summer school, I will have 2 weeks before it starts and believe me I am counting the days. I have been working at Logan's 4 nights a week, and Spencer is working 6 nights a week. We have adjusted to seeing each other for only  a few hours.

sidenote: I have the hardest time writing in this blog because I never have anything to write about or any pictures! I have a camera and It's new I just never take pictures any more. It is sad.
